Absentee policy
- If your child is not able to attend class on a given day please notify the office and send an email to Mikayla Pagnini at [email protected] prior to 2:00pm on the day of class.
If an instructor is absent, parents will be notified by telephone/email as soon as possible and students will be sent home at their normal dismissal time. If we are unable to reach you, the student will be in the school office until a parent can be reached. The class will be rescheduled.
There are no make-up days for student absences.
Make up classes: If a class can not meet due to rain/weather, the instructor will be in touch to schedule a make up class.
Safety and pick up procedures - All students meet in the PRS GYM after school for attendance. Pick-up for all classes is in the PRS GYM by parents/guardians at 3:30 pm sharp. You may provide a note to the instructor if your child is to walk home or be dismissed to someone other than a parent.
Behavior Plan - if your child becomes unsafe and disruptive to class they will be at risk of unenrollment from the club.

MONDAYS
STREET HOCKEY
Grades 3-5

Students will work on passing skills, trade off as goalie/& other positions, and learn how to use teamwork both verbally and physically. I believe this would be a huge hit and would love to be a part of it! We could use the shed or tennis courts on nice days/ gym on rainy days. Students will be encouraged to bring hockey helmets with cage/hockey gloves. Instructor: Mrs. Ryder (Grade 3 Para) I have been playing hockey since I was 5 and I teach Learn to Play hockey in Weymouth on Sundays.
STOP-MOTION CREATION!

Are you interested in learning about the sun, moon, stars, and planets? Do you also like arts & crafts? Then this Voyager class with Mrs. Reames is for you! Each class will focus on a topic in astronomy and have a related craft.

KINDNESS CLUB

The Kindness Club is a group for students who want to make their school and community a kinder, more positive place! In this club, we work together to spread kindness by organizing fun activities, supporting each other, and helping others. Each week, we brainstorm ideas for acts of kindness, like writing friendly notes, creating care packages, or organizing events to help others in need. We also focus on encouraging positive behavior, making new friends, and making sure everyone feels welcome. It's a place where we learn how to be kind leaders and work together to spread joy!
Instructor: Mrs. Turner teaches music at PRS and loves seeing students make the school a better place by being encouraging and kind in all situations!
KIDS CHESS CLUB

Kids Chess Club is a great opportunity to play chess while learning more about this fantastic game in a really fun and social environment! Participants will receive a free chess rules booklet as well as weekly chess prizes to encourage practice and play in between meetings.
Instructor: Michael Yezukevich is an accomplished USCF tournament player and has been a professional chess instructor for 10+yrs. Michael is also the Director of The South Shore Chess Club in Quincy.
READ ALOUDS & CRAFTS

In this class we will celebrate the arrival of spring with fun read alouds and hands-on art projects inspired by flowers, nature and spring holidays. AMERICAN GIRL DOLL CLUB

Bring your doll and join us for our meetings. Students will make their own hat to be worn at our weekly tea parties. During our tea party, students will talk about their dolls. During the 6 weeks, I will bring in several items for the kids to decorate for them and their dolls, and also some games to play from different time periods. At the end of our meetings, there will be a raffle. Everyone will get a turn to win an accessory for their doll.

ADVANCED DIRECTED DRAWING

Join us for a fun after-school drawing class for students in grades 3-5. Each week, we will draw, color, and/or paint a personalized work of art. Students will create unique optical illusions, ocean scenes, animals and many other personalized works of art. We will use various mediums during the six weeks.
Instructor: Mrs. Osterman is a PRS reading specialist. She looks forward to seeing the unique works of art that our upper elementary students create.

SKATEBOARDING

Can’t wait to break out your board? Come learn the basics, as well as advanced, skateboarding techniques with the riders from Technical Skate shop. In this class, we will be covering safety, cooperation and all the components of skateboarding. The classes will take place outside and Technical will be providing some of the skateboarding obstacles. Learn how to skateboard or sharpen your skill. **Participants must supply their own skateboard, helmet, elbow and knee pads.
